     Rapid response, linear braking force: no "self increasing force effect", smooth and controllable braking process, conducive to precise positioning; Short braking stroke and small reaction delay.
     Compact structure and light weight: saves installation space, facilitates crane rotation or trolley mechanism layout; Under the same braking force, the mass is smaller than that of the drum.
     Easy maintenance and even wear: The brake pads are directly exposed, making disassembly and replacement simple; Uniform friction, less likely to cause local locking or abnormal noise.
     The direction of braking torque is independent: the forward/backward braking performance is consistent, suitable for lifting/operating mechanisms of cranes that operate in both directions. ‌‌
     Attention: Disc brakes are usually used for safety braking or auxiliary braking on cranes (such as lifting mechanisms), while disc or belt brakes are still commonly used for main braking;
     The wear rate of its brake pads is relatively high, and the initial braking torque is slightly lower than that of the drum type, so it is often combined with hydraulic/pneumatic systems to strengthen the clamping force.
