DZS3 Power Electronic Brake

Application:

     The DZS series electromagnetic power-off brake is widely used in metallurgy, construction, chemical industry, food, machine tools, packaging and other machinery, as well as in safety (risk prevention) braking during power outages.     

     This type of brake has the advantages of compact structure, easy installation, wide adaptability, low noise, high working frequency, sensitive action, and reliable braking, making it an ideal automation control actuator.

Working principle and maintenance
Working principle: 

     When the coil is energized, it generates electromagnetic force to attract the armature, compressing the spring to release the brake disc from the friction surface; When the power is cut off, the spring force pushes the brake disc to press the armature and generate friction torque (braking) with the end face of the machine base.
Maintenance:
     The friction plate and armature surface must be free of oil stains and must be kept clean.
During installation, it is necessary to strictly adjust and ensure that the air gap "δ" is within 0.8mm. After wear, it needs to be readjusted.
     After installation, the hollow bolt needs to be unscrewed and locked onto the rear cover or flange of the motor to prevent axial movement.
     Friction plates are vulnerable parts, and their fastening and air gap size should be checked regularly. ‌‌
