Regularly check brake clearance: Brake clearance is an important parameter that affects braking performance. Excessive clearance can lead to slow braking response and insufficient braking force; If the gap is too small, it may cause excessive friction between the brake pads and brake discs, resulting in overheating and wear. The brake clearance should be checked regularly (recommended once a month). If it exceeds the specified range (usually 0.3~0.5mm), the position of the armature should be adjusted by adjusting the screw to ensure that the clearance meets the requirements.
Check the wear of the friction lining: Friction lining is a vulnerable component that will gradually wear out after long-term use. When the thickness of the lining wears down to the specified lower limit (usually 1/3 of the original thickness), it should be replaced in a timely manner to avoid damage to the brake disc caused by excessive wear of the lining, while ensuring sufficient braking force. When replacing the lining, it is necessary to ensure that the lining is tightly attached to the brake pad and firmly fixed.
Check the status of the electromagnetic coil: Regularly inspect the appearance of the electromagnetic coil for any damage, burning, or aging; Measure the resistance value of the coil. If the resistance value deviates from the rated range, it indicates that the coil may have a short circuit or open circuit fault and needs to be repaired or replaced in a timely manner. At the same time, check whether the wiring terminals of the coil are secure to avoid poor contact and overheating of the coil.
Lubrication guide components: The guide structure of the armature (such as guide columns and guide sleeves) may experience jamming after long-term operation, affecting the braking response speed. Lubricating grease should be applied to the guiding components regularly (recommended once every quarter) to ensure smooth movement of the armature. Note that lubricating grease should not be applied to the surface of the brake disc and friction lining to avoid affecting the braking effect.
Check the status of the spring components: Check whether there is deformation, fracture, fatigue failure, etc. in the brake spring and reset spring. If the elasticity of the spring decreases or is damaged, it will result in insufficient braking force or incomplete reset, and the spring needs to be replaced in a timely manner. At the same time, check whether the fixing device of the spring is firm to avoid the spring falling off.
Cleaning brake components: Regularly remove dust, oil stains, debris, etc. from the surface of the brake to prevent impurities from entering the brake clearance or adhering to the surface of the brake disc and friction lining, which may affect the braking performance. Compressed air blowing or dry cloth wiping can be used for cleaning, and the use of oil-based cleaning agents is prohibited.
