Summary: The brake pads of the crane produced by CTECH Machinery SDN BHD are installed in the brake to hold the brake wheel or press the brake disc, and through friction, the mechanism slows down, stops or remains stationary to prevent the weight from falling.
The core principle of crane brake pads is to use friction to convert rotational kinetic energy into thermal energy, thereby slowing down or stopping the mechanism. Simply put, when there is a power outage, the brake pads (or brake pads) are pressed against the brake wheels by springs, generating frictional braking torque; When powered on, the brake pads are pulled apart by electromagnetic force to release the brakes.
Specific process:
Braking (upper brake): After the power is disconnected, the electromagnet loses its magnetic force, the main spring returns, and the brake arm is pushed to press the brake pad against the brake wheel. The frictional force generated by the contact surface forms a braking torque on the rotating shaft. When this torque is balanced with the torque generated by the weight or inertial force of the suspended object, the mechanism stops.
Release the brake: After being powered on, the electromagnet attracts the armature, compresses the main spring, drives the brake arm to pull the brake pad away from the brake wheel, releases the brake, and the crane can run freely.
