Introduction:
The Konecranes armature plate is a core component of the crane's electromagnetic braking system.
It directly controls the release and engagement of the brake disc through the coordination of magnetic attraction and spring reset, enabling precise load holding and emergency stopping.
Operating principles and maintenance:
Working mechanism: The spring pressure presses the armature disc against the rotor to achieve braking; when the coil is energized to generate a magnetic field, the armature disc is attracted to the stator, overcoming the spring force to release the braking rotor.
Air Gap Adjustment: The gap between the armature plate and the stator must strictly comply with the manufacturer's specifications (e.g., 0.2mm - 0.5mm, depending on the brake size).
An excessive air gap may prevent the brake from fully releasing, leading to the burning of the friction pads.
Wear inspection: Periodically measure the flatness of the armature disk.
