Summary: Electric wheel brakes are mainly used for windproof and auxiliary braking of large and medium-sized lifting machinery and port loading and unloading equipment (such as gantry cranes, unloaders, etc.).
According to different driving and control methods, wheel brakes are mainly divided into the following three categories:
1. Electric wheel brake
Working principle: It adopts an electric push rod or motor drive system to directly apply force, mainly used for windproof braking in outdoor crane working state and auxiliary windproof braking in non working state.
Features: Adopting a normally closed design, directly driven by electricity for release, the structure is relatively compact and eliminates the need for an independent hydraulic pump station.
2. Electromechanical Wheel Brake
Working principle: It consists of a micro motor, a reduction transmission device, a ball screw, a cam force increasing mechanism, and a spring brake cylinder.
Characteristic: It belongs to the electromechanical integrated windproof device. The release is achieved by compressing the spring through an electric motor mechanism, and an electromagnetic retainer is used to maintain the open state. Has strong automation control capability and fast response.
3. Hydraulic wheel brake
Working principle: Relying on the hydraulic station to provide power, the disc spring is pushed to release the brake, and when power is lost, the wheel is clamped by the spring force.
Features: Strong braking force, stable and reliable operation, suitable for heavy-duty environments. According to different structures, it can be further divided into hydraulic disc type, clamp wheel type and other structural types.
