Winch Pier Tower Crane

Tower crane, abbreviated as tower hoist, is a rotating crane with a boom mounted on the upper part of a towering tower. Mainly used for vertical and horizontal transportation of materials and installation of building components in multi story and high-rise buildings.

Product Details

1) Tower cranes are mainly composed of the following three parts:
Metal structure: including tower body, lifting arm (boom), balance arm, base, tower tip, etc. The tower body is usually assembled from standard sections and height adjustment is achieved through a hydraulic lifting system.
Working mechanism: includes four parts: lifting (lifting heavy objects), variable amplitude (changing the amplitude of the hook), rotation (360 ° rotation), and walking (moving along the track).
Electrical and safety systems: including motors, controllers, distribution cabinets, and various safety limit devices (such as lifting torque limiters, lifting weight limiters, height limiters, etc.) to ensure operational safety. ‌‌
2) Main categories:

    1) Divided by rotation method:
Upstream rotation: The tower body does not rotate, and the upper structure rotates around the centerline of the tower body. High bearing capacity, suitable for high-rise buildings, is currently the most common type on construction sites.
Reversing type: The slewing bearing is installed between the base and the turntable, with a low center of gravity and good stability, making it easy to disassemble and transfer as a whole. It is commonly used in multi story buildings. ‌‌

    2) Classified by installation and fixation form:
Fixed type: The tower body is fixed on a concrete foundation, with a relatively long non moving arm, suitable for on-site fixed projects.
Attachment type: On a fixed foundation, attachment rods are connected to the building at regular intervals, and the height increases with the height of the building. It is specifically designed for high-rise/super high-rise buildings.
Internal climbing type: installed inside buildings (such as elevator shafts), supported by the building structure and climbing with the floors. Save external space, but have requirements for building structure and complex dismantling.
Walking type: including track type, track type, tire type, and automobile type. It can be moved on site to expand the scope of operations, with rail based applications being the most widely used. ‌‌
     3) Divided by amplitude:
Small car amplitude: The load-bearing small car runs along the horizontal boom, with stable amplitude and wide coverage, but the weight of the boom is relatively large.
Boom amplitude: By changing the elevation angle of the crane boom, amplitude can be achieved. The structure is simple, but it cannot be used for load amplitude, and the minimum amplitude is limited. ‌‌
