Design and operation principle:

     Electromagnets in its composition are designed to operate from 220V, 380V, and 500V AC power sources in intermittent modes with a switching frequency of no more than 300 switches per hour, or 40 percent. These magnets have a significant drawback, as their coils can burn out over time. 

     This often occurs due to dirt getting into the mechanism or due to distortion during switching. Therefore, it is recommended to purchase several coils in advance to ensure quick replacement.

     When electromagnet shoe braking, the electromagnets stop supplying current, and the levers, under the force of a spring, pivot on their pins, compressing the brake shoes and pulley. 

     This stops the vehicle. When it needs to move again, the magnet is activated, and the levers return to their original position, releasing the pulley.

Order mark:

     The brake designation specifies the brake name and type, climatic rating and placement category, rated voltage, and technical specifications. Technical specifications are not included in the course project.

     Example of decoding the performance abbreviation of the TKT-300/200 U2 brake with MO-200 PV100% for 380v:
     TKT - means a shoe brake with an alternating current MO electromagnet  ;
    300/200 - for holding a pulley with a diameter of 300 mm;
     U2 - for work in a moderate climate, placement category 2;
     MO-200B is the type and numerical designation of the installed electromagnet;
     PV100% is the brake engagement duration (meaning the brake can be used for 10 minutes out of 10);
     380V is the rated operating voltage.
