Overview

Crane wire rope is the main load-bearing component of the crane, responsible for lifting and moving heavy objects.

CTECH Machinery Sdn Bhd can produce steel wire ropes with anti torsion performance, suitable for bridge cranes that need to withstand large torques.

Material

Contrary to synthetic fiber rope, the multi material steel wire rope produced by CTECH Machinery Sdn Bhd takes into account the following factors, such as the type of crane, lifting capacity, environmental conditions, and customer's expected lifespan for wire rope.

1) Suitable for high strength and durability environment: steel wire rope made of heat-resistant alloy or coated with heat-resistant material

2) Suitable for outdoor and marine applications: galvanized crane wire rope;

3) Stainless for corrosion environment: steel crane wire rope.

Practices for maintaining the reliability of crane wire ropes

1) Use appropriate equipment to measure the diameter of the crane wire rope at various key positions;

2) Measure the twist length of the rope;

3) Measure the groove diameter and depth of the supporting equipment for the crane wire rope;

4) Choose appropriate construction lubricants and subsequent re-lubrication to improve the performance of crane wire ropes.

CTECH intalled 53m wire rope for 5t x 20m lifting hoist. The exising wire rope were worn off and not safe to use.
