Overview
Crane coupling is a mechanical part used to connect two shafts so tha transmit motion and torque. Sometimes it is also used as a safety device to prevent the connected components from bearing excessive loads, serving as overload protection.
CTECH Machinery Sdn Bhd mainly produces universal joint coupling for hoist crane arm connection and drum type gear couplings, which meet European explosion-proof requirements, transmit greater torque, significantly reduce mass, and have low rotational inertia.
Application
1. Universal joint coupling:
● Metal, paper, and plastic manufacturing: with roller systems, fans, pumps, and mixers.
● Agricultural machinery: tractor facility
● Mining equipment: drilling rigs
● Crane electric system: sewage, irrigation and lift pumps
2. Drum type gear coupling:
● Metallurgical industry: rolling mills; blast furnaces
● Mining machinery: crushers; ball mills
● Petrochemical industry: pumps; compressors
● Power industry: steam; turbine generators
Material adopted:
Universal joint coupling: cast steel for foundry crane field; stainless steel for portal crane domain;
Drum type gear coupling: alloy structural steel
Usable characteristic:
● Universal joint coupling:
1) High dynamic balance accuracy and high-speed operation;
2) Various dynamic performance of buffering and vibration reduction
● Drum type gear coupling:
1) High load-bearing capacity and torque transmission capability;
2) Compensate for the offset between the transmission shafts to ensure smooth transmission

CTECH Machinery Sdn Bhd’s service
1) In harsh environments such as high dust or oil pollution, we will personally guide to ensure the correct operation of the coupling by customers and extend its lifespan.
2) In special large-scale projects, we can assist customers in monitoring the operation of the coupling to ensure that the radial and axial offsets of the coupling are within the allowable range.
1) If urgently needed, we can regularly replenish and replace lubricating grease on the lubrication parts of the couplings that customers have purchased.

CTECH’s coupling installed on 5t wire rope hoist. The existing couplings were worn off due to heavy duty usage
