Summary: Electromagnetic brake shoe brake is a normally closed holding brake operated by an AC electromagnet, which can be widely used in lifting and transportation machinery to stop the lifting speed of objects and absorb the inertia of the moving or rotating mass of the mechanism.
Overview:
Electromagnetic drum brake (normally closed holding brake) is mainly used in the driving devices of machinery such as lifting, transportation, metallurgy, mining, and construction.
The brake mainly consists of a vertical plate frame, brake shoes, adjusting rod, spring, and base part.
How to function:
The brake shoes are connected to the vertical plate frame, and the vertical plate frame is connected to the base by shaft pins. One side of the vertical plate frame can be equipped with an electromagnet, and the main spring is installed above the vertical plate frame. The top of the adjustment rod is close to the stop gear of the electromagnet.
In order to increase the friction coefficient between the brake shoes and the brake wheel surface, replaceable asbestos brake bands are installed on the brake shoes.
When the operated electromagnet loses power, the brake compresses the spring and maintains the braking state. When the electromagnet is energized and attracted, the brake is released, allowing the mechanism to operate.
Core uses include:
Speed limit and braking: used to control and stop the lifting or lowering speed of objects.
Absorption inertia: Absorbs the inertia generated by the moving mass of a moving or rotating mechanism, causing the equipment to decelerate or stop smoothly.
Keep still: By using a normally closed brake mechanism, the equipment in a stopped state is reliably locked to prevent slipping.
