Ladle Crane Tower Limit Switch

     The core function of the limit switch of the double beam crane is to limit the travel limit of the lifting, large or small vehicle operation, automatically cut off the power supply, and prevent safety accidents such as toppling, falling, derailment or collision caused by over limit operation. ‌‌
     Lifting height limit switch: Cut off the power supply of the lifting motor when the hook rises to the design upper limit (to prevent over rolling) or falls to the lower limit (to ensure the safety of the steel wire rope). 

     Double beam cranes usually need to be equipped with "double limit" (two different forms, such as heavy hammer type+shut-off type) to comply with safety regulations.
     Crane/trolley running limit switch: limits the travel of the crane or trolley at both ends of the track to avoid hitting the stop or adjacent equipment.
     Limit switches are divided into working limit (normal operation end deceleration/stop) and limit limit (emergency power cut-off, belonging to safety redundancy). 

     They cannot replace buffers or brakes, but can effectively prevent the risk of overtravel caused by electrical or operational loss of control. ‌‌
     Please note that the limit switch is only used as a travel protection device and does not provide weighing or overload prevention functions (the latter is handled by the lifting weight limiter).

     According to regulations, newly installed or in use double girder gantry cranes must be equipped with dual limit devices (height limit devices based on different principles), unless a transmission type (such as worm gear) height limit device has been used. ‌‌
