Coil Cable Reel Caliper Brake

     Pneumatic caliper disc brakes are commonly used in scenarios that require frequent braking, high braking torque, or safety failure protection (normally closed). ‌‌     

     Heavy machinery and equipment, such as cranes, hoists, mine hoists, and port lifting equipment, are equipped with parking brakes or emergency brakes (normally closed: spring brakes, pneumatic release).
     Winding and tension control: used for cable reel and reel machines, paper machines, and steel coil unwinding/winding systems, achieving dynamic tension through precise adjustment of friction force through air pressure.
     Transportation and engineering vehicles: auxiliary/parking brakes for some large engineering vehicles, mining dump trucks, or specialized vehicles (but not mainstream highway trucks, which often use air drum brakes).
     Metallurgical and mining equipment: rolling mills, conveyor rollers, crushers, and other equipment that require high thermal stability and dust resistance (often equipped with anti-corrosion types).
     Specialized industrial wire spools/packaging machinery: used for deceleration, positioning, or safety braking, with fast response, maintenance free, and can be integrated with air compression stations. ‌‌
     Attention: Hydraulic or electronic braking is commonly used for wheel end braking in automobiles/high-speed trains, and pneumatic caliper discs are rarely used in ordinary vehicles; 

     Its typical structure is "air pressure release, spring lock" or "air pressure brake, spring release", relying on the factory air compression system (5-7 bar), and is not suitable for pure electric or hydraulic drive platforms. ‌‌
