Summary: The electromagnetic brake adopts the design of "power-off braking, power on release". When the machine stops, the electromagnet loses power and the spring force pushes the brake shoe to hold the brake wheel tightly.
Core features:
Working principle: Adopting the design of "power-off braking, power on release". When the machine stops, the electromagnet loses power and the spring force pushes the brake shoe to hold the brake wheel tightly; During operation, the electromagnetic iron is energized and attracts, overcoming the spring force to release the brake.
Structural composition: It mainly consists of a vertical plate frame, brake shoes (with replaceable friction pads), adjustment rod, main spring, and base, with a simple structure and reliable operation.
Installation position: Usually installed on the high-speed shaft of the equipment (such as the motor shaft or gearbox input shaft) to achieve effective braking with less torque.
Main parameters and applications:
Applicable scenarios: Designed specifically for frequent and fast starting situations, commonly used in lifting and transportation machinery such as cranes, winches, and conveyors.
Power supply conditions: The matching electromagnet usually uses a three-phase or single-phase AC 380V/50Hz power supply.
Environmental restrictions: The applicable ambient temperature is generally -20 ℃ to+50 ℃ (some data claim+60 ℃), altitude ≤ 2500m, relative humidity ≤ 90%, and there are no corrosive gases or conductive dust around.
