Summary: The brake pads of the crane brake are installed on the motor shaft end, reducer input/output shaft, or brake wheel/disc surface of the lifting, slewing, operating (large/small) and rotating mechanism, to achieve mechanism deceleration, stopping, and load maintenance.
The specific installation position and corresponding mechanism of the brake pads for the crane brake:
Lifting mechanism: installed at the tail of the lifting motor or the high-speed shaft end of the reducer, it prevents heavy objects from sliding down or slipping by clamping the brake wheel, and is a safety core component.
Variable amplitude mechanism: located at the connection of the variable amplitude motor or reducer, it controls the accurate stopping and locking of the boom pitch angle to prevent the boom from accidentally falling.
Operating mechanism (large/small car): installed at the shaft end of the driving motor of the large or small car (usually a short stroke electromagnetic block brake), to achieve precise parking and anti-skid of the walking mechanism.
Rotary mechanism: located at the output end of the rotary motor or rotary reducer, it controls the rotation stop and positioning of the upper structure to prevent drift caused by wind load or inertia.
