Summary: The belt brake is a normally closed external structure with spring braking and hydraulic release. The core consists of a brake drum, a flexible brake band (asbestos free pad), a swing lever system, and a matching hydraulic cylinder. It overcomes the spring force to release the brake through hydraulic pressure, and tightens the brake band to achieve braking when power is cut off/released.
Belt brakes are specifically designed for the lifting, slewing, and pitching (amplitude) mechanisms of marine cranes, using a normally closed design with spring braking/hydraulic release.
Core application scenario: Ship deck crane (for marine engineering/port ships), suitable for high salt spray, rain, snow, and corrosive environments (optional anti-corrosion type).
Action mechanism: Control the deceleration and fixed-point hovering of the hook lifting (hoisting), boom rotation (turning), and boom angle adjustment (pitch/amplitude) respectively.
Working characteristics: automatic power-off brake (safe hovering), hydraulic brake release when powered on, with high operating frequency, compact structure, and no need for lubrication of hinge points.
Non primary scenario: Although the generalized belt brake can be used for automotive transmissions or land winches, specific models of this series are mainly targeted at marine lifting equipment and are not the mainstream configuration for general bridge/gantry land cranes.
