Hydraulic Rotor Bearing Brake

Summary: The core principle of the hydraulic turbine generator brake is to use pneumatic/hydraulic drive to compress the rotor brake ring and generate frictional resistance torque (mechanical braking) during the low-speed shutdown stage, or use stator short-circuit excitation to generate reverse electromagnetic torque (electrical braking), forcing the unit to stop quickly to protect the thrust bearing oil film. ‌‌
