Anchor Winch Lever Brake

Application:

     Braking of slewing, hoisting and pitching mechanism of ship crane.

Feature:

     Wrap angle is large, large torque, light weight.

     Spring braking, hydraulic release.

     The overall structure is simple and compact.

     There are self-lubricating bearings at the main swing hinge points, which have high transmission efficiency and long service life, and no lubrication is required during use.

     Asbestos-free brake pads, it is green and can protect the enviroment.

Working Principle:
     During operation, the actuating mechanism (such as hydraulic pressure) pushes the movable end of the brake belt, causing the steel belt to tighten the rotating brake drum. The friction material generates a resistance torque to control the speed of the anchor chain falling or remain stationary; 

     After unloading, the return spring pulls back the brake band to release the brake. Its structural characteristics are large package angle, large braking torque, and compact structure, but it will generate significant radial force on the shaft, requiring a sturdy support design.
