Classification of core materials for small gantry cranes produced by CTECH Machinery SDN BHD:
Aluminum alloy material: commonly used 6061-T6 high-strength aluminum alloy, with a density of about 1/3 of steel and a tensile strength of up to 310MPa; Suitable for light loads ranging from 0.25 tons to 5 tons, requiring frequent movement or manual handling, with corrosion resistance and no need for painting maintenance.
Steel material: The main beam is mostly made of I-beams (such as 16 #), and the support legs are welded with channel steel (such as 10 #) or thickened steel plates; Suitable for medium to heavy loads of over 1 ton, fixed or semi fixed operations, with significantly better strength and deformation resistance than aluminum alloys.
Auxiliary component material: The walking wheels are usually made of polyurethane or rubber coated iron cores (wear-resistant and shock-absorbing), and the connecting parts are high-strength bolts. If the track part is involved, cold-rolled steel or lifting rails are used.
Selection suggestion:
1. High frequency mobility/narrow space/demand for 0.5-3 tons: Priority is given to aluminum alloy, which has a light weight (reducing weight by 40% -50% under the same load) and can be moved by 2-3 people.
2. Heavy load/harsh outdoor environment/long-term fixed use: Carbon steel/I-beam structure must be selected to ensure structural rigidity and safety factor, and avoid aluminum alloy fatigue risk.
