Elemental Service Brakes Applied in Double Beam Crane

Main brake types:
     Electric hydraulic block brake: the most mainstream configuration, which drives the brake pad to hold the brake wheel tightly through an electric hydraulic thruster. It has the characteristics of smooth braking, long service life, and no noise, and is widely used in lifting and operating mechanisms.
    Electromagnetic block brake: directly driven by an electromagnet, with a simple structure and fast response, commonly used for small and medium-sized tonnage or specific working conditions, and partially used in conjunction with hydraulic thrusters.
     Pneumatic block/disc brake: dependent on air source drive, suitable for special environments such as mines and chemical industries with explosion-proof or non electric hydraulic sources, requiring a water treatment air source.
     Electric hydraulic disc brake: an emerging high-end configuration with good heat dissipation and small size, commonly used for heavy-duty, high-frequency or European style cranes, gradually replacing traditional drum brakes. ‌‌
Key selection features:
     Drive mode: divided into electric hydraulic brake, electromagnetic failure protection brake, and pneumatic caliper disc brake, which need to be matched with operating temperature and load frequency.
     Structural form: The mainstream is tile type (drum type), with brake pads wrapping around the brake wheels; The disc type is a caliper disc structure, with friction plates gripping the brake disc.
     Safety function: Equipped with failure protection (automatic brake when power is cut off), equal backlash device, and automatic compensation for pad wear. A braking torque margin of 1.5~2 times is required under heavy load conditions.
