Maintenance of Port Trolley Brake

Installation steps:

     Preparation and Lifting: Unpack the brake and remove shipping bolts. Use the designated lifting point (lever/pivot block) to lift the brake. Do not lift by the push rod.

     Positioning the Brake: Slacken the tie-rod nuts and spring setting nut to increase the distance between the brake shoes to clear the drum diameter.

     Mounting to Base: Place the brake onto the foundation bolts, aligning the shoes with the brake drum.

     Alignment: Position the brake shoes on the drum, ensuring they are centered within ±0.3plus or minus 0.3±0.3 mm of the drum surface. Use shims to adjust height if needed, ensuring the brake lever and shoes move freely.

     Fixing the Brake: Tighten the foundation bolts 18.Installing the Thruster Unit:Fill the thruster tank with the recommended hydraulic oil.

     Remove split pins and hinge pins (15) from the base frame and lever.Position the thruster, re-insert the pins, and replace the split pins.
