Summary: The braking system of mining hoist is the core safety protection device to ensure the safe operation of mine hoist. The system is mainly composed of two core components: disc brake and hydraulic station, which have the functions of working brake and safety brake.
The core components of the braking system for mining hoists
Disc brake: the executing component of a system. Using a disc spring to generate braking force and clamping the brake disc with brake shoes to achieve braking. It has the advantages of small size and low inertia.
Hydraulic station: the power and control source of the system. Provide hydraulic oil of different pressures to control the release and holding of brake shoes, and provide oil pressure regulation required for safe braking in emergency situations.
Main braking types
Work brake: used to control the operating speed of the hoist, ensuring smooth operation of the lifting container during normal deceleration and parking.
Safety braking (emergency braking): In the event of abnormal situations such as over winding, rope breakage, overspeed, power failure, etc., the system quickly releases pressure and uses spring force to achieve emergency braking, ensuring the safety of life and property underground and on the ground.
