Anchor Windproof Cable Brake

     The electric hydraulic windproof iron wedge brake controls the lifting and lowering of the iron wedge through an electric hydraulic thruster. 

     When powered on, the iron wedge is lifted to allow the crane to move normally. When powered off or the wind speed exceeds the standard, the iron wedge is automatically lowered into the track, and windproof braking is achieved by the friction between the wheel and the iron wedge. ‌‌
     Power on state: The electric hydraulic thruster is powered on, and the push rod overcomes the spring force to lift the iron wedge, detach from the track, and the crane can move freely.
     Power off/braking state: When the power is off or the wind speed sensor is triggered, the thruster is powered off, and the spring force drives the iron wedge to automatically fall and wedge between the steel rail and the wheel tread. 

     The high wear-resistant friction block (friction coefficient ≈ 0.46) is used to generate braking force to prevent the crane from being blown away by the wind.
     Safety design: Normally closed structure (braking upon power failure), with manual release and travel switch status feedback, usually installed in pairs at the end of large gantry cranes, suitable for windproof operation or non operation of outdoor rail cranes such as ports/docks.
     Drive mode: Non friction rail holding brake, but mechanical wedge locking, relying on the wheel pressing iron wedge self-locking, braking force F=f × N wheel (f ≈ 0.46, N is wheel pressure). ‌‌
     Attention: Electric hydraulic iron wedge windbreakers are different from rail clamps or anchoring devices; 

     The essence of its' braking 'is to wedge the wheels rather than traditional friction braking wheels. ‌‌
