Summary: Whether it is a large and medium-sized bridge crane, gantry crane, casting crane, or port container crane, the key parts such as the low-speed shaft and running mechanism of the safety brake are very suitable.
The core structure of the normally closed hydraulic caliper disc safety brake adopts the principle of "disc spring force and hydraulic release", mainly composed of the following key components:
Brake caliper frame: a rigid frame of integral or split type that spans both sides of the brake disc and serves as the load-bearing body to support other components.
Disc spring group: located inside the brake, providing continuous normally closed braking force, with high fatigue resistance, ensuring automatic braking in case of power failure or pressure loss.
Hydraulic cylinder: installed in reverse with the disc spring, compresses the disc spring to open the brake when pressure oil is introduced, and resets the brake under the action of the disc spring after oil discharge.
Brake pad (friction pad): installed at both ends of the caliper arm, made of high-performance asbestos free hard material, directly rubs against the brake disc to generate torque, and some models have automatic clearance compensation devices.
Brake disc: a rotating component (usually driven by the low-speed shaft of the equipment) that works in conjunction with a pad, ensuring a smooth surface to reduce wear.
Auxiliary detection components: Optional opening limit switch and pad wear limit switch are available for signal feedback and PLC interlocking protection.
This structure is designed to be compact and suitable for emergency safety braking of low-speed shafts in equipment such as cranes and port machinery, ensuring sensitive action and stable braking torque.
