   1) Stopping effect: By pressing the brake pad against the outer circle (or inner hole) of the brake wheel, friction torque is generated, consuming the kinetic energy of the mechanism and causing the lifting, running or rotating mechanism to quickly stop at the predetermined position.
   2) Falling weight control: Provide a constant resistance moment during the descent of heavy objects, balance the gravity component, achieve uniform and smooth descent, and prevent overspeed falling.
   3) Fixed point holding: When powered off or in a stationary state, rely on the normally closed brake to hold the brake wheel tightly, ensuring that the suspended load remains stationary for a long time and has windproof and anti-skid functions.
   4) Energy conversion hub: As a carrier of frictional heat generation, it converts the kinetic mechanical energy into thermal energy for dissipation, and is the final link in torque transmission of the braking system. ‌‌
