Summary: The thruster is an electric hydraulic vertical axis structure, with the core consisting of a driving motor and a body (centrifugal pump+oil cylinder assembly) integrated into two main parts. The oil pressure drives the piston and push rod to move linearly through the rotation of the impeller.
Core components of the thruster:
Drive part: Asynchronous motor (located at the top, drives the shaft to rotate)
Pumping part: Centrifugal pump (including impeller, shaft, converting mechanical energy into hydraulic energy)
Execution part: cylinder body, piston, push rod, crossbeam (piston rises under pressure to push external load)
Auxiliary structures: end cap, fuel tank housing (most thrusters in this series are made of cast iron and require self oiling), reset spring (relying on external brake or self gravity reset).
The body parts of electric hydraulic thrusters (including cylinders, covers, pistons, etc.) are usually made of cast iron or cast steel materials. Stainless steel may be used for specific components to improve corrosion resistance and lifespan, but the overall body is still mainly made of cast iron/steel.
The drive motor adopts a non oil immersed structure with B-level or F-level insulation, and the motor junction box cover is equipped with a sealed design. Some manufacturers use stainless steel materials for fasteners in the transmission part, and there is a balance chamber on one side of the oil cylinder housing.
Core moving parts such as pistons, impellers, and shafts need to undergo surface treatment to ensure wear resistance.
