Summary: The electromagnetic drum brake consists of five main parts: rotating components (brake drum), fixed support (base plate), friction actuator (brake shoe and lining), electromagnetic actuation mechanism (coil, iron core, lever), and reset/adjustment components (spring, adjuster).
The core material of the electromagnetic drum brake produced by CTECH Machinery SDN BHD is: the brake wheel (drum) is mostly made of gray cast iron (HT200/250/300), the friction lining is commonly made of asbestos free organic/semi metallic/powder metallurgy materials, the electromagnetic coil is made of copper winding, and the structural components are mainly composed of carbon steel or alloy steel.
Brake wheel (brake drum): The mainstream use is gray cast iron (grades HT200, HT250, HT300), which has high wear resistance, large heat capacity, and easy processing characteristics; Some lightweight or high-performance models adopt a combination structure (steel plate stamping web+cast iron friction ring) or aluminum alloy matrix+cast iron lining ring.
Friction lining (brake pads): mostly made of asbestos free friction materials, including asbestos free organic (NAO), semi metal, low metal, and powder metallurgy (high temperature and heavy load conditions); Early asbestos materials have been banned.
Electromagnetic drive part: The excitation coil is usually made of enameled copper wire, and the iron core and shell are made of low carbon steel or silicon steel sheets to optimize the magnetic circuit.
Auxiliary structural components: Load bearing components such as bases and end caps are often made of cast steel or welded steel plates to ensure rigidity and installation strength.
