Summary:
Hook Division in Bridge Crane

The hooks of bridge cranes produced by CTECH are primarily categorized based on their shape/structure (single hook, double hook, plate hook, C-shaped hook, etc.), manufacturing method (forged, laminated/stacked), and function (main hook, auxiliary hook). These factors collectively determine the selection of hooks for various lifting operations, such as light and heavy lifting, bulk material handling, and special working conditions.
The range of hooks offered spans from simple single/double hooks to specially designed hooks for steel coils, aiming to enhance safety, efficiency, and specificity in practical use.
1. Classified by structure and form
Single hook: With a simple structure, it is commonly used for lifting lighter or single items.
Double hook: Typically consisting of two single hooks (a main hook and an auxiliary hook), it is used for lifting heavy objects or in conjunction under special working conditions to enhance stability.
Plate hook (stacked hook): It is riveted from multiple steel plates, offering high safety and capable of withstanding greater loads, commonly used in heavy-duty cranes.
C-type hook: specifically designed for lifting steel coils, available in various variants such as single-ring, double-ring, and heavy-duty models.
Others: such as eye hooks, S hooks, claw hooks, combination hooks, etc., used for specific connections and applications.
2. Classified by manufacturing method
Forged hook: Forged from a single piece of steel, it boasts high strength and is commonly used in applications requiring medium to small tonnages or high standards.
Sheet/Stacked Hook: It is riveted from multiple layers of steel plates and used for large-tonnage cranes to enhance safety.
3. Classification by function (for cranes with main and auxiliary hooks)
Main hook: The primary lifting hook, with a large tonnage and high gear ratio, undertakes most of the lifting tasks.
Auxiliary hook: An auxiliary lifting hook with a small tonnage, high/low speed, used for light loads or specific auxiliary operations, such as assisting the main hook in pouring molten steel in the metallurgical industry.
4. Classified by application scenario/crane type
General lifting hook: used for general lifting operations.
Metallurgical hook: specifically designed for high-temperature, high-load metallurgical environments.
Explosion-proof/insulated lifting hook: suitable for flammable, explosive, or specially insulated environments.
Special hooks: such as container-specific hooks and steel coil-specific C-shaped hooks.
