Summary:
Gantry Crane Electromagnetic Coil Brake
Application field:
Metallurgical machinery: used for emergency braking in case of power failure of continuous casting machines, rolling mills, etc;
Construction machinery: It is widely used in metallurgy, construction, chemical industry, food processing, machine tools, packaging, and other machinery, as well as in situations where braking is required during power outages (for safety purposes);
Machine tool equipment: It is widely used in machinery such as metallurgy, construction, chemical industry, food processing, machine tools, and packaging, as well as in situations where braking is required during power outages (for safety);
Packaging production line: used for braking in case of power failure (risk prevention).
Operating principle:
The electromagnetic power-off brake is mainly composed of key components such as the yoke, armature, connecting plate, coil, spring, friction plate, gear sleeve, and manual release device.
The magnetic yoke is mounted on the base or the connecting plate using device screws. After adjusting the air gap δ to the specified value, it is fixed in place. The coil and spring are installed inside the magnetic yoke, and the armature can move along the axial direction. The gear sleeve engages with the internal teeth of the friction disc.
When the coil is de-energized, under the action of spring force, the friction disc rubs against the armature, the base, or the connecting plate, generating friction force. This force is transmitted to the drive shaft through the gear sleeve for braking. When the coil is energized, under the action of electromagnetic force, the armature is attracted towards the yoke, causing the friction disc to release, and the drive shaft is released from braking, assuming a free state.
